Phlegmasia cerulea dolens.Bhatt S, Wehbe C, Dogra VS Department of Radiology, University of Rochester School of Medicine, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642. Phlegmasia dolens is a rare form of massive venous thrombosis of the lower extremities that is associated with a high degree of morbidity, including venous gangrene, compartment type syndrome, and arterial compromise.
